Western Garage Equipment Limited was established in 1983 by
Gerry and Margaret Gould. They were later joined in the business
by their son Spencer.
Gerry’s involvement with the motor trade follows an
apprenticeship under his father’s guidance in their
local garage.
From the early sixties he has been employed by both local
and national companies, being heavily involved in both the
supply and installation of most major makes of equipment plus
all aspects of workshop design, both for the local garage
and also national customers including large fleet haulage
companies.
From the on-set in 1983 one of our Company’s priorities
has been to establish a total package service being offered
to customers who are anticipating either replacing or installing
MOT test facilities on their sites.
An initial visit can be arranged to discuss the layout of
the equipment followed by a full planning service which will
be linked to meetings with both the Ministry Inspectorate
and the customer’s building and electrical contractors
to clarify on site problems. This will be followed by our
overseeing of all site work, final commissioning of the equipment
and lastly a meeting with the Inspectorate to obtain site
approval.
Our Company also offers a full inspection/maintenance and
calibration contract service tailor made to suit the individual
customer which ensures that the equipment is maintained to
the highest possible standard.
